Description

Use
Caapi extract can be used for microdosing, creating Ayahuasca brew, or even as a standalone psychedelic.
How to prepare Ayahuasca using Banisteriopsis Caapi extract*
*The following information is purely educational and must not be abused to break the law or put your own safety at risk. Read full disclaimer at the bottom.
Banisteriopsis Caapi is used as the MAO-inhibitor component of Ayahuasca. In combination with DMT containing plant material, you can create the psychedelic brew.
You can either combine the two components by heating up the DMT-plant-brew and dissolving the Caapi extract into it, or choose to take them seperately. If you don't want to combine them, simply dissolve the resin in hot water.

Effects
Effects of Banisteriopsis Caapi extract on the body
Caapi is probably the most famous and irreplaceable component of Ayahuasca. It is known as an MAO inhibitor, so it only has very light psychotropic effects itself.
However, as it inhibits the Monoamino-oxidase, it makes the body a lot more receptive to other psychoactive substances, like mushrooms, truffles or DMT containing herbs (as in Ayahuasca).
Additionally, any DMT that's already in the body (as the human body itself can produce DMT) may develop psychedelic effects.

Since Caapi is an MAO inhibitor, its purpose is served when this enzyme in your gut is neutralized.
That means, it doesn't get stronger by upping the dose indefinitely.
For most people, 5-10g are enough for 1 person to fully inhibit their body's MAO. Exceeding this dose is pointless, as the body's MAO cannot do more than be inhibited.)
Taking just Banisteriopsis Caapi extract tea is a good way of familiarizing yourself with the effects and how your body feels under its influence.
The Caapi resin can also be used for microdosing (1g = 1 standard microdose)
Psilo-huasca
Psilo-huasca
Combining caapi resin with Mushrooms or magic truffles can GREATLY enhance their effects!
This combo is known as psilohuasca.
Be warned: Even experienced psychonauts recognize that combining mushrooms with MAO inhibitor makes the experience very different.
It can make the effects last up to 10 hours.
The trip also tends to be more colorful, but generally more intense on every level.
This may easily overwhelm beginners!
It is always a good idea to get to know the two components seperately first.

Foods to avoid
Some foods should NOT be eaten in combination with MAO inhibitors. This is because MAO neutralizes certain components of those foods that would otherwise be harmful to your gut.
Such foods include:
- aged cheese
- aged meats
- fermented foods
- overripe fruit
- fish
- alcohol
- teriyaki sauce and other highly processed foods
- foods high in thyramine
Sensitivity
Some people are MUCH more sensitive than others.
So much so, that licking the tip of a chopstick dipped in resin will be more than a microdose to them.
BE CAREFUL when testing your tolerance.
