Copelandia – Hawaiian

Copelandia Cyanescens is an extremely potent strain with an international reputation.

Please note: Please only grow using our cultivation system – then it’s super-easy to grow!

It’s usually a bit tricky to grow, as it’s extremely sensitive to unstable environmental conditions – so be careful! But the mushrooms are well worth the effort. Just 1 g of them is a full psychedelic dose, comparable to 3–5 g of ‘normal’ magic mushrooms, whatever the strain! See the specific growing instructions for this strain below!

The product

Contains everything you need to grow potent Hawaiian mushrooms:

• 100% mycelium grow box for mushroom cultivation.
• Cultivation bag with HEPA filter to prevent contamination
• 2 containers of potting compost
• Paper clip for sealing the bag

Yield:

• The 1200cc grow kit can produce up to 100g of fresh Hawaiian mushrooms (10g dried)

As this is a natural product, there is no guarantee of the yield from your grow box. Temperature fluctuations or any kind of radiation can damage the mycelium. Do not store for longer than a few weeks before use. No refunds or exchanges.

About the Copelandia mushroom

This mushroom is a real outlier amongst those suitable for grow boxes. It is about 5–10 times as potent as ordinary Stropharia varieties. If you’ve ever heard anyone mention the famous ‘Hawaiians’, then Copelandia cyanescens is what they were talking about. Shipping

Please start growing immediately after receiving the grow box, or store it in the fridge at 2°–4°C.

Instructions for using our grow kit:

Step 1 Open the box and remove the contents: - The grow kit - The grow bag - A tray of soil - A paper clip
Step 2 Spread the soil evenly over the substrate so that the substrate is completely covered.
Step 3 Place it in the grow bag provided with our growing system, attach the tubes and seal the bag as described in the growing system instructions.
Step 4 Wait until the mushrooms are ready to harvest (usually 5–7 days after they start to grow). Harvest them by bending them – do not twist or pull them! If you bend them, they’ll snap and you’ll be able to harvest them all. A few days after harvesting, you’ll have the next flush and can expect at least 3 flushes, which come much faster than with ‘normal magic mushrooms’!

No watering or spraying is necessary when using our grow system.

Instructions without our grow system

Instructions for growing Hawaiian magic mushrooms (Copelandia cyanescens): Growing Hawaiian magic mushrooms is very different from the method you’re used to with a typical Cubensis grow kit! We understand that you’re a professional mushroom grower. We want you to achieve the best possible yield. So please read the following instructions carefully to ensure optimal results.

Note: Always wash your hands with soap and rinse them thoroughly with plenty of clean water before handling the grow kit or the mushrooms. Always work in a clean environment. Never use gloves or disinfectant!

Please note: This mushroom needs a little ‘counter-mould’ in the substrate to grow. To set the correct temperature, you need to keep an eye on the box and, if you see the counter-mould spreading, lower the temperature.

Step 1 Open the box and take out the contents: - The grow kit - The grow bag - A tray of soil - A paper clip
Step 2 Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and rinse them with plenty of water, then remove the lid from the kit. Spread the soil evenly over the kit.
Step 3 Spray the top layer of the kit, making sure it is very damp, and also spray the inside of the bag. Ensure there is enough oxygen in the bag and place the kit inside. Then seal the bag with the paper clip.
Step 4 Make sure you spray the kit daily and provide it with fresh oxygen (squeeze the bag to let the old oxygen out and fresh oxygen in). At this stage, it is very important that the top layer remains moist.
Step 5 After 6 to 11 days, mushrooms will start to form. At this stage, remove the grow kit from the grow bag and simply spray the inside of the bag to refresh the oxygen. Put the kit back into the grow bag. (Hawaiian mushrooms do not like direct contact with water).
Step 6: 5–7 days after the mushrooms start to grow, they are ready to pick. Harvest 36 hours after the first black spores start to fall from the mushroom caps. Pick the mushroom by tipping it over until the base of the stem snaps off. That was your first ‘trip’ :)
Step 7 After that, you can start a new harvest. To do this, start again at Step 3 and repeat the entire cycle. The most important thing is to keep the grow kit moist and ensure it gets fresh air every day. Remember that Copelandia is a much more delicate product than any other mushroom grow kit on the market.
